Apps make our lives easier every day—to have dinner delivered to your door, or to schedule a ride to the airport. Now, the PetDesk app is available for all your pet’s veterinary needs—to verify your pet’s veterinary care history, or to schedule their veterinary appointments—any time of day. Our PetDesk pet care app is available from Apple or Google Play, and as soon as you click Download, you can begin exploring how the app can make handling your pets’ veterinary needs quick and easy. Our Creature Comforts Veterinary Service team describes seven ways the PetDesk app can help you handle all your pet care needs.

#1: Schedule your pet’s appointments

Like many busy pet owners, you may forget to call during business hours to schedule your pet’s veterinary appointment, especially their wellness exam, and then struggle deciding whether to leave a voice mail in the middle of the night, trying to avoid playing phone tag with our reception team in the days ahead. Now, you can put aside those worries, and request your pet’s veterinary appointment through the PetDesk app by simply requesting the date and time that works best for you and your pet. Our reception team will then schedule your pet’s appointment in the time slot that best matches your request. In addition, your pet’s appointment date and time are in the app, always at your fingertips, and allowing you to reschedule if necessary.

#2: Request your pet’s prescription refills

Your pet’s medication always seems to run low during the weekend, at a time you cannot stop by the veterinary office to pick up a refill. You can request a prescription refill at any time through the PetDesk app, and as soon as medication is ready, the app notifies you. With the PetDesk app, you no longer have to ensure you handle your pet’s veterinary needs, such as requesting a prescription refill, during business hours only, because—with the app—all hours are business hours.

#3: Receive reminders about your pet’s important health services

Many of us lose track of time, and we often cannot remember whether our pet was due for their rabies vaccination in the spring or in the fall, or the date of their most recent heartworm test. You no longer have to rely on your jam-packed mind to know when to schedule your pet’s important health services because the app keeps track, and notifies you when it is time for your pet’s annual wellness visit, therapeutic drug monitoring appointments, laboratory work, and medical progress exams.

#4: Instantly access your pet’s vaccination history

You likely plan to board your pet when you make last-minute travel plans. Most—if not all—boarding facilities require proof of their furry guests’ vaccination record. If you are heading out at the crack of dawn, or straight from work, stopping by our office to pick up your pet’s health records may be impossible. However, if you have our app on your phone, your pet’s vaccination records are always available, right in your pocket.

#5: View your pet’s medical history and laboratory test results

As your pet ages, keeping a close eye on their health status is important, but remembering their blood work values and other laboratory test results off the top of your head can be next to impossible. Instead, you can rely on our PetDesk app to pull up your senior cat’s most recent blood work results to compare them with their latest kidney values, or you can monitor your hypothyroid dog’s weight over time.

#6: Communicate directly with our veterinary team

In some cases, you may need to consult directly with your veterinarian at a time when you cannot come to our office. When this situation occurs, take advantage of technology by using our app’s two-way messaging to discuss your pet’s health with your veterinarian. The PetDesk app allows you to chat with our veterinary team, and quickly receive responses regarding your furry pal’s care.

#7: Earn and redeem veterinary reward points

When you become a PetDesk app user, you can earn reward points each time you visit our office—whether for your pet’s appointment, or to pick up their medication or food. In addition, you can earn reward points by purchasing your pet’s prescription food, scheduling their appointments or requesting prescription refills through our app, and more. You can redeem reward points (i.e., critter coins) for discounts on professional services and pet care items. Download the PetDesk app to view a full list of rewards you can earn by simply taking care of your pet’s needs as you normally do.

Make your life easier—and save precious time—by learning to use the PetDesk app to its fullest. Contact our Creature Comforts Veterinary Service team for more information on how you can take care of your pet’s needs through our app.
