Dr. Karin-Susan Breitlauch
Owner and Founder of Creature Comforts
Dr. Karin graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She has a strong interest in orthopedic surgery, veterinary chiropractic, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. At the time of her graduation, she was the youngest practicing veterinarian in the US (at 22) and has been an AAHA Hospital Director since 1992. She was certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 1999, and is a Lifetime Founding Member. Dr. Karin is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Veterinary Tui-Na by the Chi Institute, where she has been a teaching assistant. Dr. Karin was named the 2009 Pennsylvania Veterinarian of the Year. She is very active in Rotary. She is slated to be the District Governor for Rotary District 7410 for 2017-18. Dr. Karin is married to Ed Gallagher (since 1988) and has a 19 year old daughter, Erin Rebecca.
Dr. Yong Keun Jeon – DVM
Chonbuk National University, 2008 and Kansas State University SVM, 2009 – Dr. Yong was trained internationally and is licensed both in the United States and South Korea. He was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. He used his Bachelor’s in Genetic Engineering to research human liver cancer for 2 years. He worked as a medic for 26 months while serving his mandatory duty in the Army in South Korea. His natural love of animals led him to obtain his veterinary degree. Dr. Yong worked as an associate and chief of staff for a corporate veterinary practice. He is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Veterinary Food Therapy by the Chi Institute in Florida. He has a special interest in preventative medicine, veterinary surgery, and acupuncture / herbal therapy. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with his wife, Yumi, and his 7 year old son Sean.
Dr. Ian Collins-Civco – DVM
Virginia Maryland Regional SVM, 2008 – Dr. Ian graduated from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) in 2008. He enjoys working with small animals and farmyard pets. He also works as a USDA vet and enjoys his small animal experiences at CCVS.

Leslie Arrington — Assistant
Inventory Clerk/Admin Assistant: Leslie is the mother of two wonderful children, Ashley, 22 yrs old, and Brendan, 15 yrs old. Her fur babies include three cats, two dogs, a 13 yr old chinchilla, a bearded dragon and two ball pythons. In August 2015 Leslie took on the dual responsibility of being the inventory clerk and assistant to the Office Manager. She does all of the ordering to keep CCVS stocked with all supplies and medications. She has a great passion for animals and is enjoying her 7th year with CCVS.
Monica Barnes — Instruments Specialist
I am 22 years old. I love working with the animals and the caring staff here at CCVS! In my spare time I enjoy taking my own dog, Roxy, swimming.
Joan Borger — Maintenance
Housekeeping: Joan has worked here since April 2014 and can be found keeping CCVS clean and sparkling on the weekend.
Jenna Bringenberger — Assistant
Hi! My name is Jenna and I am a life long animal lover. With 24 pets and counting, it is safe to say that pets have a special place in my heart.
Elizabeth Caesar — Technician
Elizabeth enjoys doing physical rehabilitation. She has been married to her husband Chris for 14 1/2 years and has two boys, Chase and Mason. Her pets consist of “Chowder”, a 6 year old frenchie, “Speedy”, a bearded dragon, and “Jeffery” and “Teddy”, the guinea pigs.
Karli David — Kennel Assistant
Karli enjoys riding horses and spending time with her family. She is the mother of two awesome Australian Cattle dogs, “Dodge” and “Oakley”. Her new addition is a Siberian Husky named “Angel”.
Christian Dickinson — Technician
Technician Assistant: I have been here almost 4 years now and closer to my goal of being a full technician. I have 2 pitbulls, Goblin and Jenny. The newest addition is “Creamsicle” adopted from CCVS.
Warren Eckel Jr. — Kennel Assistant
Elisha Frable — Assistant
Elisha is married to her husband, Ryan. She is the proud mom of three girls, Carly, Carinne, and Alexis, and three dogs, “Ribbons”, “Gordon”, and “Morgan”. She enjoys working overnights in ICU. When Elisha is not at CCVS, she is a Soccer mom, enjoys puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Sherri Frisbie — Adoption Coordinator
Adoption Coordinator: Sherri loves working with the clients and their animals. Most of all, she loves working closely with Steph and Linda with the adoptions. Sherri and Jason’s family includes four dogs, “Roxi”, “Jake”, “Tess”, and “Ella”, and seven cats, “Angelo”, “Tuxedo”, “Mama”, “Monkey”, “Bolt”, “Cinder”, and “Jemma”. Sherri has become a grandmother to a beautiful little girl named Sophia.
Petra Fudro — Receptionist
Petra is happily married to her husband, Matt, for 16 years and have two wonderful children, Alyssa, age 9, and Anthony, age 7. Her fur babies include three big dogs, “Bella”, “Cody”, and “Nala”, and of course, we can’t forget about their rabbit, “Angel”! She enjoys working with the animals at CCVS.
Krista George — Receptionist
I am 19 years old and I enjoy working with animals and people. I like hiking and playing with my dog, Mia. I hope someday to become a veterinarian.
Kayla Grieco — Kennel Assistant
A full-time student working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in biology. Currently living with my parents, my sisters, two dogs, four cats and a dozen fish.
Mona Groman — Certified Technician
Mona lives with three rescues, a 11 year old bassett hound, “Beauford”, and two 3 year old domestic short hair cats, “Flash” and “Fairway”. She lives in the Allentown / Bethlehem area and is very involved with church activities at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. In what little free time she has she likes to bake, do crafts / needlework, play volleyball, go for walks, or to the Bethlehem dog park with “Beauford”.
Paige Hart — Assistant
Paige is a junior Microbiology student at Moravian College. She absolutely adores all of the patients she cares for and loves working with her colleagues who have become like a second family to her. In her spare time, Paige enjoys reading, writing poetry, watching anime, and playing with her beloved pets. She has three cats, “Freya”, “Lila” and “Sweet Pea” and also has two dogs named “Sandy” and “Ghost”.
Kareen Kosman — Technician Supervisor
Day Shift Supervisor / Dental Department Supervisor: Kareen finds dentistry to be the most compelling part of her job. She enjoys lab work, interacting with clients, and assisting in surgery. She is a member of our Blood Bank Committee and AAHA Committee. She also pet sits furry friends. Kareen enjoys home life with Shaun, their 9 year old daughter Tori, and the family dog “Bristol”. In Kareen’s free time she enjoys scrap booking all of her fond memories of the family. Her family enjoys spending weekends at the races and outside activities with their daughter like swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, hiking, camping, flying kites at the park, and running Tori to Girl Scout meetings, gymnastics, horseback riding, track, pottery class, and church cherub choir.
Jessica Krieger — Assistant
Vet Tech Assistant: Lives in Effort, PA and am age 26 years old. Since I was younger I wanted to work with animals. I am a Vet Tech-Assistant in the ICU at CCVS. I love taking care of the animals and running blood work. I have two dogs named Trip and Kiki. In my free time I like to take them on trail walks.
Eileen Lange — Billing Coordinator
Accounts Receivable/ Public Relations/ CSR Co-Supervisor: Eileen is a member of Relay for Life “Ark of Hope” and on the West End Relay for Life Committee Board, “Toasty Toes” and a Girl Scout Leader. She spends most of her day at CCVS handling patient billing. In the little spare time that she has she enjoys gardening, sewing, and spending time with her grandkids and her Maltese, Sophia.
Kristin McLennan — ICU Supervisor
When not working in ICU or appointments you can find me spending time with my rescue animals. I love my job and have a soft spot for senior patients and exotics, especially the feathered variety!
Chanel Melendez — Assistant
Technician Assistant: I am a mother of 3 children (1 boy and 2 girls) also a puppy mommy of 3 dogs. I have been working with animals since I was 10 years old. I specialized in dog behavior and training for the past 5 years.
Patrick Murphy — Kennel Assistant
Patrick has worked here since April 2014 and can be found taking care of our animals in the kennel.
Angela Russo — General Manager
Angela lives with her fiancee, Chris, and their twin cats, “Stink” and “Dink”. In her free time she likes to sing karaoke, watch reality television, and spend time with her family.
Kathy Ruwedel — Client Communications Technician
Married for 34 yrs to Wayne. Just added a new dog to our family after the loss of our Gino. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a very unruly bird named Ike.
Kristy Santee — Surgery Supervisor
Kristy and her husband have five daughters . Kristy works full time and enjoys her job working with the animals. Kristy is also a member of the Blood Bank Committee. She also has 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon.
Heather Scott — Technician Supervisor
Night Shift Supervisor: Heather has a love of pit bulls. She is the mother of 7 pit bulls, 1 Boston terrier, and the step mother of a teenage daughter. Heather has been grooming dogs and cats for 16 years and is great with difficult and scared animals. She recently lost her 5 year old
Ron Stem — Physical Plant Supervisor
Ron is the man that keeps a roof over our heads, the equipment working, and the light bulbs in the sockets. He is a 1983 MCTVS graduate with a degree in carpentry. He has a daughter Rebekah, who graduated Kutztown University in 3 1/2 years and is now enrolled in the Masters program. Jacob, his son, is a freshman at KU. He lives with his yellow lab named “Lilly”. He enjoys archery, fishing, kayaking and camping.
Rachael Stevens — Technician
ON LEAVE Rachael is happily married to her husband Matt. They have a 5 year old daughter, Daytona, and a 2 year old son, Gauge.

Barbara Tokar — Kennel Supervisor
Barb is married to her best friend Chris. They cherish their golden retriever “Bailey (Rotten)”, shih-tzu “Ranger (blue)”, and their cat “Sauza”. She loves caring for the animals, learning new things every day, and her job at Creature Comforts. Barb’s hobbies include dog grooming.
Theresa Valanda — Technician
Theresa is happily married to Robert and they have 2 children, Racheal, age 10, and Naomi, age 14. She also has 2 fur babies, a rottweiler named “Diego”, and a mixed breed dog named “Shelby”.
Alanna Walsh — Kennel Assistant
My hobbies include reading and writing. I have three dogs and three cats as a part of my family. All of my dogs are rescue animals and two of my cats are as well.
Arlene Wimperis — Assistant
Filing: Arlene is the mother of two and currently shares her home with her cats. She enjoys spending time with her friends and loves to bake and read. Most of all, Arlene enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren!
Teresa Wojcik — Receptionist
I started at CCVS in August 2015. I answer phone calls throughout my shift because I enjoy helping people very much. I also enjoy working at CCVS because I am an animal lover. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 1 bird.
Kaleigh Yaich — Assistant
Instrument Care Coordinator and ICU Assistant: When Kaleigh is not busy assisting the staff or coordinating instruments, you will find her at home with her three year old daughter
Jessica, and her daughter’s new puppy, “Page”, a Mutt.
Priscilla Yates — Technician
Priscilla can be found in the exam rooms with the doctors. Priscilla has been working in the dog show field most of her life and continues to show dogs. Priscilla is very interested in all types of medicine, especially natural and holistic. She also does behavior consults and ear taping for all breeds after ear cropping.
Brittany Zimmerman — Assistant
Brittany started with us as a Kennel Assistant, taking care of all our hospitalized animals for about 8 years. In more recent years she has moved up to join our front staff as a Veterinary Tech Assistant. She has thrived in this position and enjoys helping in anyway possible.
Linda Breitlauch, J.D. — Comptroller
Linda is the company comptroller and also adoption coordinator. She has a number of pets at home including dogs, cats, and two horses. Linda is married with two grown children and a one year old granddaughter.
Stephanie Chieffo — Assistant / Adoption Coordinator
Steph is a receptionist and is the proud owner of “Jigsaw”, a dog, and betta fish, “Anchovy”. Steph is also one of the key people who work with adoptions and the KuRita Foundation.
Deborah DiPalma — Client Service Representative
Deb is grateful to have a job that equates with her vegan lifestyle and love of all animals. Adopting “Jill” from CCVS has filled a void inside her soul that she did not realize was there. “Jill”, her dog, and her cats fill her life with love and laughter.
Andrew Bartholomew — Kennel Assistant
Drew is one of the kennel workers here at Creature Comforts. He is very family oriented and has had many pets throughout the years with his family. Drew sees every pet that comes through as his pet and gives it the best care he can.
Barbara LaBar – Bookkeeping
Barb is a mother of four. Her furry kids are “Max”, “Sassy”, and “Fat Cat”. Barb spends her free time crocheting, oil painting, and read- ing her nook.
Kendra Long – Technician Assistant
Kendra enjoys working with animals. She has 7 cats, 3 birds, and a dog at home.
Patrick George — Assistant
Patrick works in the kennel and hopes to become a technician assistant in the near future. He is 19 years old and was born and raised in Northeastern PA.
Samantha Breitlauch — Assistant
After a nearly 4-year stint working for Amazon, Samantha has moved back to our area. She is a proud homeowner in Hamilton Town- ship, where she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, horses and houspets. She is currently attending NCACC and is pursuing a business degree. Her interests include reading, traveling and has considered running for public office.
Bill Koehler — CSR Supervisor
I live in Effort, PA and love all animals! I have always wanted to work in a veterinary hospital due to my passion for medicine. I am currently owned by two Chows who are the joy of my life! In my spare time, I volunteer with my local fire company as an EMT/Special Fire Police Officer and I also enjoy photography.

My partner Nortm and I are currently owned by four cats (Romeo, Juliet, Kali and Pumpkin). My hobbies include beading, the beach, baking and collecting cats, not necessarily in that order.
Natalie Krampert – Technician
I’ve been a technician for eight years, working my way up with on-the-job training from a kennel attendant. I have two dogs named Astarall and Pacino and a few kitty babies as well. I’m happily married to my soulmate. I’m passionate about my job and caring for fur babies, their comfort and health is my first and foremost priority.
Katelyn Breiner – Technician
I have been a technician for 9 years. I have two dogs and a menagerie of cats. I love physical rehab and critical care.
Renee Transue – Receptionist
My name is Renee and I am going on 27 years old. I have a 7 year old daughter who is the light of my life! I come from a big family and I love animals for as long as I can remember! Right now I have a kitten, his name is Flash, he’s a big cuddler at night. But also loves to bite and attack your feet. I enjoy being able to care for animals and am happy to do so.

I’m a mom to three beautiful girls, Kaylin (18), Marrisa (15) and Nicole (5). I have been married for nearly 17 years to my hubby Jody. We enjoy field trailing beagles or anything outdoors.

Mom to many four legged creatures including a horse named Luna, a Great Dance Mix name Crammer and a grey tabby named Eno (“No”). I enjoy AKC field trials with my families beagles and spending my free time training Luna to run barrels. I plan on one day owning a performance a barn and being a certified technician for the equine species.
